Old Friends

Over the years as you can imagine Ive made a lot of friends in the driving school business. Ive made a few enemies too but thats gonna be the same in any walk of life. Ive come close to making a few of those friends business partners through the years but its never happened but  I got a call from one of those guys recently.

Steve runs driving schools Newcastle these days but I met when he had driving schools sheffield. Steve is a great instructor. His student love him and he has a great pass rate for it. Unfortunately the call bore bad news. One of his student that had recently passed their test with him had headed out on their own for the first time and got involved in a terrible accident and traggically died.

Steves in a bad way about the whole thing and is blaming himself. He thinking of quitting instructing over the whole thing. Its a tough call and I dare say I would be considering the same in his circumstances so this is my tribute to him. Your a great instructor Steve and you just have to do what you have to do and I hope things work out for you old friend.

My first post

Hi folks

This is my first post here on my new web log. Im going to talk a little about my work. Im a driving instructor. It a profession that has allowed me to work all over the country and although stressful has all in all be a very rewarding part of my life. Im currently running driving schools Durham. We moved here around 18 months ago so im building up a new client referal base very quickly now. In my line of work the client referal base is the driving force of my business. There so better way to get new customers than through word of mouth referals from satisfied learners now on the road.

Ive previously had driving schools in many other locations around the UK. I had a driving schools Liverpool for 4 years. Had some great times there but we want to move our son away as violence was on the increase in our area. Ive also used to run driving schools Exeter before that. Ive actually worked all over the place and im better for it.

Each time I moved I would sell my business and client database and then start again. Its a business model that has served very well for me over the years.

I have a driving lesson shortly so ill have to wrap things up but ill be back again to share somemore of my stories.
