PRAYER REQUEST
We are sure that most of you are aware that Brenda Higgins is Gene Higgins's wife. They are the founders of the Christian Country Music Association, Power Source magazine, ICM Award Show and HMG Nashville . Please take a moment to read this letter Brenda sent to the office recently.
Twenty years ago I had breast cancer. Today I have a new breast cancer but all reports are good with the results being the best they can be. It is contained, small, and estrogen receptive… that is very good. They have searched my body for more cancer at my request but none was found. Praise God. When you get lemons you make lemonade and that is exactly what I am doing. I like my lemonade tart! I have most of my doctor’s reports and now I’m ready to make decisions.
I have no fear and all I need is your prayers. On July 2nd, I will be having surgery at Baptist hospital in Nashville and in 4-6 weeks I will be a new person.
Have a wonderful and blessed week and be sure to be on the lookout for more information about this year’s convention!! I am looking forward to seeing all of you there!

We need your prayers!!
Dad called from Italy this morning and said that mom was in the hospital. She had a sharp pain in her ribs so he took her to the hospital in Livorno , Italy . Her diagnosis is a pulmonary embolism which is a blood clot in the lungs. She will have to stay in the hospital there for at least 7 days while they give her heparin, a medicine that will stop further clotting and help thin out her blood. They feel that they are in good care at that hospital. Their doctor speaks English, but he is the only one that does. Dad is working to get their luggage off the cruise ship and figure out what else needs to be done. They are both pretty scared right now and need your prayers.

One of my seventh grade trumpet players had a dirt bike accident over the weekend. He attempted a hand stand on his bike, and flipped end over end several times before landing flat of his back. He was not breathing when his mom got to him. He cracked three vertebrae near his neck, and is in much pain. He is currently in Children's, and will remain there for some time in order to be kept stable. Please keep this student and his family in your prayers.

Prayer Request from Sue Ann O'Neal Clark
Tonight late, Richard's sister Tamara called to say that she was still in the States and visiting her son in North Carolina and also her daughter Tanya and son in law Rick had joined her for the visit.
Yesterday Tanya had several seizures and was taken by ambulance to a North Carolina hospital. They ran several cat scans and MRI's and have discovered a tumor on her brain the size of an egg.
The Doctor's have concluded that they must perform surgery on her Wed. Aug. 5. Tues they have also scheduled a colonscopy to find out why she is bleeding also.
Please add Tanya (age 43) to your prayer list that she may have a complete recovery but better yet please pray that the tumor would shrink and be gone before the surgery time on Wed.
We have a MIRACLE working God who never takes a day off for LABOR. HIS Labor is never in vain!

I have a prayer request for my mom. Just confirmed today that she is going to have brain surgery on Monday, 9/27, in Boston. She has a small tumor that is starting to press on her optic nerve and carotid artery. They say it is not cancerous which is a good thing and the doctor feels that they should be able to get it with no issues. But as you can imagine, everyone is a bit apprehensive. Appreciate you keeping her and our whole family in your prayers. Peace.

Please ask our prayer warriors to pray for Brandon as he was diagnosed with menengitis on Saturday morning. He became ill on Friday and Tony and I had to take him to the emergency room Friday night, after a CT scan and blood work things looked normal but no amount of medicine eased his headache.
We returned to the pediatrician Saturday morning and he was still sick and his blood counts had changed and the dr. ordered a spinal tap.
The results showed menengitis and we will know tomorrow if it is viral or bacterial. He is still in the hospital and the dr.'s feel it is more viral which would be good news.
He will be delayed in starting school and it could be 2 weeks before he feels like himself again.
Please, Please, Please....if you have a child 11 years old through college age....take them to get the menengitis vaccine....you do not want your child to go through this.
Brandon is an energetic 16 year old who loves life and the Lord and as you can see by his picture...he is a magician who love sharing his talents with everyone...He has really begun sharing the gospel through his magic too and the message God gives him is reaching out to kids everywhere he goes.
The lab results grow completely out by Monday midday so we will know for sure what type he has.
We would appreciate your prayers and never hesitate to send me your prayer requests. It is a blessing to know that we can count on each other to pray us through situations.

When I talked to her today, she said her family was taking it hard. (As you can imagine)

She goes in for tests this week, and that procedure alone is going to be very dangerous. Ruth has had a weak heart for sometime now. Her doctor informed her that the test alone is going to be a risk on her heart. Also keep Jasmun and her Father in your prayers, he has just returned to Iraq, after just having heart surgery himself. William Chitty, one of the trumpet section leaders in the Marion High School band, was involved in a serious car wreck last night a few miles outside of Tupelo, MS. William has suffered severe head trauma and is in a "medically induced coma" right now. We are awaiting updates, and from the sketchy information we have received, this is a life-threatening situation. We will keep you posted. Our granddaughter was hurt in a 4 wheeler accident week before last, and she has 10 broken ribs with multiples fractures and both of her lungs collapsed. She is doing better but we would appreciate your continued prayers for her. Also my brother, Ronnie Gosney, his finance, Barbara, had a stroke about a month ago and has returned home. She desperately needs everyone's prayers, since I am not sure that she is saved. She can't talk and or move her right side and she is wheel chair bound. Thanks, Barbara & Joe Turner. |

I am contacting you all to ask that you pray for my mother. I took her
to
the emergency room last Friday and they found that all her white cells
were
gone. She was taken to St. Louis where she is being treated. She is
suffering from a severe infection and despite intervention her white
cells
are not replenishing themselves. She was put in ICU yesturday and is on
a
ventilator and kidney dialysis. They are keeping her sedated and she
appears
comfortable. Please pray for her. I believe the doctors are doing all
they
know to do.

I was in New Mexico when I got the news of
my
brother, to be so far from home and get that kind of news has had me a
bit
shaken. My brother is an electrician in the coal mines in WV and his
boss
sent him and a few other men into a section of the mines that is
forbidden.
While there a 800 pound rock (that is not a mistype, 800 pounds) fell.
The
edge of it knocked him in the head, as he fell his hardhat came off and
he
now on the ground, the hat landed on his hand, the rock then fell on
the
hat. It took 3 guys to get the rock off his hands. The hat actually
saved
his hands, I believe God placed it there!! He has bad injuries to his
hands, but had it not been for the hat, he would not have any hands.
He had
surgery on his head and they had to put a plate in the area that was
damaged. Many, many stitches in his head, face, ears and hands but he
is
doing so good now. I got to talk to him Sat. and he sounded good and
appreciates everyone's prayers. Thanks to all our family at HMG and
Power
Source for praying for my brother.

Hey everybody! Just wanted to give ya'll an update on what's going on at camp here at Siloam Springs. (EZ3 is taking a break because I'm playing drums in the worship band here all summer). We just finished week 1. There was just over 700 students this week. We had 61 salvations!! over 100 recommitments, and several surrender to the ministry. It was a GREAT first week. There will be 6 camps total.
Please be in prayer for this place. The spiritual warfare is TREMENDOUS and very evident here. It really gets scary sometimes. Prayer warriors are essential.

Brenda Higgins, Vice President and Editor-in Chief of Power Source
Magazine,
has been struggling with health problems for some time now. Gene
Higgins
took her to the hospital last week. She was able to return home on
Saturday
but is still extremely weak. She's had several tests done, heart tests,
blood tests and has been in a great amount of pain. At times her
muscles
ache so badly that she gets no sleep at all. She has also been having
severe
headaches. Please pray for her complete healing and recovery. Also
pray
that the doctors will have the wisdom to properly diagnose what is
causing
these issues and find an effective treatment for her. |

Darryl Hardy's 17 year old daughter, Stephanie, is in surgery right now.... She's having heart surgery and they are replacing both valves.... Right now, she is losing a lot of blood and her blood pressure is dropping. Jackie Cox called in on behalf of Darryl and asked that we send an URGENT request to everyone for prayer for a successful recovery for Stephanie. Please remember the rest of the family also. I know this must be an extremely scary time for everyone involved. Please forward this to anyone who you know will be willing to pray about this situation.
